How it works

How the AFT is scored

The Army Fitness Test replaced the ACFT on 1 June 2025. The standing power throw was removed, leaving five events scored out of 500, and each event is scored on its own 0 to 100 scale between a 60-point minimum and a 100-point maximum.

You need at least 60 in every event and 300 total to pass, so one weak event can fail an otherwise strong test. The performance required for each point moves with age and gender, which is why the calculator asks for both.

Questions

AFT questions

Is it the ACFT or the AFT now?
The Army Fitness Test (AFT) replaced the ACFT on 1 June 2025. It dropped the standing power throw, leaving five events scored out of 500. The scoring scales for the remaining events carried over, so this calculator scores the current AFT.
How is the AFT scored?
Each of the five events is scored 0 to 100 for a maximum of 500. You need at least 60 points in every event and 300 total to pass. Required performances change with age and gender.
What is a passing AFT score?
60 points in each of the five events and a 300 total. Falling below 60 on any single event fails the test even if your total is high, so this calculator flags every event under the line. Some combat roles require a higher minimum.
What are the five AFT events?
3-rep max deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, the plank, and the 2-mile run.
