Body type calculator
Estimate your frame size and body-type tendency, ectomorph, mesomorph or endomorph, from your height and wrist. A quick read on your bone frame, and where to start with training.
medium frame, naturally muscular, gains and loses readily.
A rough guide to your bone frame from wrist size, mapped to the three body-type tendencies. It is not a clinical somatotype, which needs skinfold calipers and several measurements.
How your body type is estimated
Wrist circumference is a good stand-in for bone frame because it is nearly all bone and tendon, with little muscle or fat to skew it. Dividing your height by your wrist gives a ratio: a higher ratio means a thin wrist for your height (a smaller frame), a lower ratio means a thicker wrist (a larger frame).
That frame maps loosely to the three classic body types. It is a starting point, not a verdict: your actual build depends far more on how you train and eat than on your wrist. For a rigorous somatotype you would need skinfold calipers and several measurements.
